Iris absolute is one of the most precious products in the perfumer’s palette. Its extraction process is very long and delicate. First, the rhizome must be treated, which must then dry for at least three years. Its extraordinarily present, almost overwhelming, scent with powdery accords unfolds its woody green accents, evoking the reassuring scent of warm bread.

Ambrette from Ecuador
Ambrette is a noble material for the perfume organ. The seeds of the hibiscus fruit are distilled to obtain an ambrette “butter.” The fatty acids are then removed, leaving only a purified essence. Its musky yet slightly fruity accents, somewhere between pear liqueur and silk talc, are found in Dior Homme Intense.

Virginia Cedar
Native to the United States, cedarwood essence is obtained by steam distillation. Its delicate and noble scent is used as base notes in many men’s fragrances, where it delivers its energetic and full-bodied aromas.
